Novello 2024
Vino Novello is Italian for New Wine. Vin Nouveau in French, has been popularized in the US with the appearance of the Beaujolais Nouveau in the late 80’s, produced from Gamay grapes. Our 2024 Vino Novello underwent the process called carbonic maceration to extract the fresh flavors of the estate grown Dolcetto and Pinot Noir grapes. This vibrant wine offers fresh and youthful flavors of pomegranate, strawberry, and raspberry, with a hint of blueberry. Its lively red hue and fuchsia reflections are paired with mild tannins and a refreshing acidity that make it a perfect companion to your holiday meals. This joyful wine is best enjoyed when it's first released.
An Italian Tradition brought to the Columbia Gorge
Novello, Italian for “new wine,” is a cherished Italian tradition, marking the excitement of the just past harvest. Wine Lovers will be pleased to taste the new vintage just a few months from the harvest. This year, we are especially proud to release the 2024 Novello dedicated to our granddaughter Shea born at the end of June 2024. Her arrival has filled our lives with love and joy, and as we raise a glass of this lively, vibrant wine, we celebrate not only a new vintage but also the continuing traditions from my homeland, Italy.
