Primitivo Riserva 2022

I named this wine after my late father whose name was Valentino.  His birthday was February 14^th, and he would have been 91 this Valentine's Day!  This is an elegant wine.  Aromas of strawberry jam, clove, and spice jump out of glass and greet the nose.  These flavors play out on the palate where they are joined by savory leather and cedar notes.  Velvety tannins add structure and balance, leading to a long finish that immediately leaves you wanting another sip.  This is Marchesi Vineyards’ fourth Riserva of the Primitivo, and, to us, the best one yet.  Salute!
