Sangiovese 2021
We do not grow the Sangiovese grapes here in Hood River, as it does require more heath and for
this reason we source our Sangiovese grapes in Sunnyside, WA. Columbia Valley AVA. This
Sangiovese has considerable charm and freshness, with an intriguing earthiness that remind you of
its Italian heritage. The 2021 vintage shows the typical spice and red fruit character, bright red
color, bracing acidity leading to a long finish. This age worthy Sangiovese can be cellared
beneficially for 10 years or more it can be enjoyed in it's youth with earthy, flavorful foods, to this
Italian the braised wild boar and polenta comes to mind as well as grilled sausages with fennel
seeds, or red sauce pasta.
