Sagrantino is an Italian variety of grapes not widely known in the US. In Italy it grows predominantly
in the region of Umbria a mountainous region in the center of Italy. Our Sagrantino grapes come from
from the Gresswell Vineyards near Sunnyside WA. This wine is sophisticated, with strong tannins and a
fruity taste. Complexed, with aromas of potpourri, fresh fruit character and blood orange, black
raspberry, and cherries, combined with floral notes of violet and tangerine. The Marchesi Sagrantino is
vibrant and energetic supported by a nice acidity. Enjoy it with richer fare like baby back ribs, venison
game, red meat, creamy risotto and aged cheeses.
